I am a dreamer and have high hopes for my future.  I am driven, passionate, and determined. I am someone who knows exactly what I want in life and I am on my way to achieve it.

 

My brother was taken on a Make-A-Wish trip this summer and was able to be Dodger For A Day.  He was given a team jersey and locker with his name on it.  Along with that, he waas taken on the field during batting practice and was one of the team.  While it was wonderful seeing his dream come true, I also was able to picture exactly what I wanted to do for a professional career. The woman who made that all possible for him was the Public Relations specialist for the LA Dodgers. That is why I am majoring in Mass Media with an emphasis in Public Relations at Washburn University.  She made my brothers dream come true and that is exactly what I aspire to do for others in my future career.

 

Public Relations, by definition, is the professional maintenance of a favorable public image by a company or other organization or a famous person.  I enjoy and find it intruiging the connections you can make in today's society and that is what PR is all about; making connections.
